Your New Role...

As a key part of our team, a Director, Operations at Bleacher Report, the role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Product Operations, Trust and Safety, and Customer Services functions. The role will work closely with these teams to ensure that our app and fan experiences are operating effectively and efficiently, that new features and services are launched, and that our users have a safe experience in our communities. The role requires the experience and ability to define and operationalize new processes. In this role EQ and relationship building skills is equally, if not more important than technical aptitude, but technology operational experience will be required. The role requires excellent written and oral communication skills and lead focused team meetings. The candidate will work across the entire organization.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Oversee the Product Operations, Trust and Safety, and Customer Services functions at Bleacher Report.

  • Lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines for Product Operations, Trust and Safety, and Customer Services.

  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Build and manage relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration across departments.

  • Hire, train, and manage a team of managers and individual contributors.

  • Collaborate with Product and Business Operations to manage third party vendors and drive planning efforts in support of new features/products.

  • Expected to be self-motivated, proactive and solution oriented. They must be willing to lead, assist team members in meeting their individual goals and to promote a positive attitude and work culture.

  • Manage multiple workstreams within a larger portfolio end-to-end

  • Work with business, product, engineering and existing operational teams to tease out operational details and identify challenges before they occur.

  • In this role, early requirements may not be well-defined, and depending on various factors, they may change frequently. The successful candidate will maintain flexibility during uncertainty and be able to drive teams through this phase until scope is clearly defined and well understood by all team members.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • 10+ years of experience in operations or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and functions.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team of managers and individual contributors.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

The Legal Bits…

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $114,940.00 - $213,460.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
